DAY ONE
You’ll explore your personal mindset to learn how YOU learn, discover and problem-solve.
Just like you, every one of your team members approaches goals and learning in a different way. Not only will Kathleen teach you to recognize each person’s unique talents and abilities, but more importantly, she’ll teach you how to inspire your people individually—in ways that make them feel acknowledged, valued, happy and growing.
- Discover the Three Pillars of Self-Understanding: Mindset, Truth/Openness and Choice/Personal Responsibility—concepts which lay the foundation for the rest of the workshop.
- Explore your current mindset in order to increase self-understanding of your strengths and limitations. Become aware of how you ‘see’ and interpret the world around you.
- Gain an exciting new understanding of yourself that will increase your ability to understand others’ perspectives.
- When you better understand your mindset, you’re more likely to be comfortable taking risks, challenging the status quo, and finding new paths to action.
- Learn how to improve relationships by using more Truth and Openness—the most powerful (but neglected) tools for improving workplace relationships. When you’re more open with others (and with yourself), your life becomes less complicated, while your trustworthiness increases.
- You’ll also discover Choice/Personal Responsibility—taking 100% responsibility for the circumstances of your life—as a key behavior for personal empowerment.
- Finally, you’ll identify and explore your top 5 passions—learning to connect them to your deeply held personal values and integrate them into your leadership practice.
DAY TWO
You’re ready to undergo a powerful experience of self-discovery that lays the foundation for your leadership mastery.
- You’ll complete a Personal Values Assessment and review the results to gain a deeper understanding of your personal values (including those values you experience at work).
- You’ll understand how your deeply held values are the underlying influences in your leadership practice.
- You’ll learn to develop the practice of Inquiry, so you can comprehend the impact of your own beliefs, biases and judgments—and learn how to notice when these may have a negative impact on your leadership practice or interactions with others.
- You’ll also discover how to incorporate coaching and mentoring in your leadership style—two activities that are identified as integral values in the best companies to work for.
- Along with other participants, you’ll practice simple Reflective and Alignment coaching tools—strategies that are easy to use and designed to bring out the best in your individual team members (and even your peers).
- You’ll learn to integrate this coaching-based “culture of learning” at your workplace.
- Finally, you’ll practice using the Collaborative Conflict Resolution process as a win/win approach to creating solutions that carry clear commitments and compliance agreements. You’ll learn to use a powerful 7-step process to resolve conflict and make decisions that satisfy all parties while preserving relationships.
DAY THREE
You’re ready to begin leading your team in earnest.
- You’ll create a detailed action plan to ensure each leadership strategy, behavior, tool and resource you’ve learned is integrated into your own leadership practice upon return to work.
- Finally, for long-term value and continuing application, you’ll pair up with an Accountability Partner to ensure that you’re integrating what you’ve learned you’re your daily leadership practice once you get home.
BUT THE LEARNING DOESN’T STOP HERE…
Because change is a process, and not a one time learning event, you’ll participate three 90-minute group follow up Q & A calls with Kathleen—held over three months’ time—to ensure you get her advice and insights as you apply these new leadership practices with your team!
